12th EUROPEAN CONFERENCE FOR RESEARCH ON LEARNING AND INSTRUCTION
August 28 - September 1, 2007
Budapest, Hungary
Dear Colleagues,
The University of Szeged, the Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest, and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences are honoured to host the 12th Biennial EARLI Conference in 2007. We will do our best to make it both fruitful and enjoyable. EARLI 2007 will provide an opportunity not only to present the results of your recent work, but also to discuss research findings with other scholars. The theme of the conference, Developing Potentials for Learning, has at least two levels of meaning: the growing importance of enriching the potentials of learning and the unidirectional trend of increasing possibilities in educational systems both play an important role in educational research.
We hope the conference will be an enjoyable and unique experience for all of you. Hungary, and her beautiful capital Budapest, have a rich history that is over one thousand years old. Our country is known for its cultural heritage, many Nobel Prize winners, great sportsmen, and tasty wines. Budapest lies on the river-sides of the Danube, boasts of beautiful buildings, bridges, restaurants, and a lively cultural life, which we hope you will take the time to enjoy.
We are looking forward to meeting you at EARLI 2007 in Budapest, Hungary.
| Beno Csapo President of the 12th EARLI Conference | Csaba Csikos Conference Manager |

How to submit a proposal?
Please visit the conference website: www.edu.u-szeged.hu/earli2007/, choose the “submit a paper” button on the opening page and follow the directions. Please note that you will have to repeat the submission process for every symposium or individual paper that you would like to submit. It is also important to use the same e-mail address for all subsequent correspondence with the on-line system of the conference.
Please note that during the submission process you will need the information noted in the previous section. It is very helpful to have all the information in electronic form (e.g., in a doc file) before you start the submission process. If, for any reason, you cannot complete the submission process all at once, you can return to the website and modify any information you save prior to submitting the final forms.
Please remember that the on-line submission system cannot handle characters that do not belong to the English alphabet. Please also note that the information (including your name) will be published exactly as it will be submitted by you. Hence care should be taken to avoid spelling and other mistakes.
Registration
Registration can only be made on-line (registration page). The on-line registration pages will be available from the first week of December, 2006.
